I am honoured to be part of Works On Paper, a group exhibition curated by Malte Fisker, bringing together artists representing different generations and artistic practices.

The exhibition explores paper as an artistic medium — its materiality, versatility and expressive potential — through works that move between figuration and abstraction, line and surface, precision and intuition.

You are warmly invited to the opening reception in the beautiful setting of Dyrehoej Gallery at Denmark’s largest winery, Dyrehoej Vinyard.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION – by Malte Fisker
“This exhibition explores paper as an artistic medium. Over the past century, the definition of works on paper has expanded considerably. Whereas drawings were once regarded primarily as preparatory studies for other artworks or as illustrative images, they have increasingly come to be recognised as an art form in their own right. As with painting and sculpture, artists have continually pushed the boundaries of paper as a medium, broadening the expressive possibilities of line, surface and form.

The exhibition presents Works On Paper by a number of distinguished artists representing different generations. The works inhabit the dynamic space between figuration and abstraction, linearity and painterliness, the constructive and the expressive, opacity and transparency, flatness and spatiality, and beyond.

With a focus on the significance of paper as a medium, the participating artists employ a wide range of techniques and materials, including graphite, watercolour, ink, acrylic, gouache, digital print, UV ink and screen printing. Together, these approaches expand the definition of works on paper and demonstrate the medium’s remarkable versatility.”
