In order to put one of Denmark’s unique cultural heritages on the world map, Nanna Fog Lund, has contributed to the design and visualization of the Prospectus – “The King of Ladby’s World”.
The prospectus is created for The Viking Museum Ladby on North Funen, which contains Denmark’s oldest royal tomb. It is the only place in the world where you can step directly into a Viking king’s ship grave at the authentic site. This important place must now be acknowledged, and recognized as an essential part of Danish history.
The visionary prospectus presents the future development plan for 2022-2030, and it shows the realization of the vision, which constitutes a remarkable audience experience of international class.
A selection of the 48-page prospectus is shown here, and the first edition is printed in 1000 copies. Architect Poul Ingemann, including Sunke Arkitekter, has brought the architectural drawings to life. The new identity – including a logo of convey – is the starting point for the further development of the museum’s corporate profile.
The project has been created in collaboration with former Director of Østfyns Museer Erland Porsmose, Director of Østfyns Museer Mette Ladegaard Thøgersen, Head of Vikingemuseet Ladby Claus Frederik Sørensen, and Museum Inspector Ane Jepsen Nyborg, as well as Journalist Malene Lorenzen Birkelund.
“With great commitment, Nanna Fog Lund has carried out various art direction projects within the fields of art, cultural history and archeology for Ostfyn’s Museums. In particular, Nanna has solved the major task of designing and developing a future visualization for the architectural prospectus of Danish Cultural Heritage, which is the development plan for the museum 2022-30. The project’s outcome has received great credit from relevant stakeholders, and this is not least Nanna’s merit. She works very professionally. Above all she has a keen eye for aesthetics, and therefore a very high quality within her design solutions.”
