Shokunin, the Japanese Design Festival is a present tribute to Japanese/Danish design and craftsmanship. It is a non-profit initiative celebrating and promoting high quality craft, design and art. Historically, Japan and Denmark have had a strong mutual influence in these areas, starting with the first wave of Japonism in the late 19th century to the present day.
Selected artisans and designers will exhibit a wide range of original crafts and design, and for the third time Architexture Design Atelier by Nanna Fog Lund will be part of this year’s Festival. Come join us for this soulful fusion of design/crafts, and listen to inspiring talks, as well as enjoy sake and tea, in the beautiful historical surroundings of Kosmopol in the heart of Copenhagen.
Special thanks to the passionate co-founders of the festival, Zenia Ekdak & Sensei Peter M. Fogh from the Seidokan Japan Center for setting up this exquisite event.
