Japanese Design Festival
Kosmopol | 11th-12th Nov. 2023
Recently, Architexture exhibited at SHOKUNIN, the Japanese Design Festival in Copenhagen. The festival paid tribute to the close design-aesthetic bond between Japan and Denmark –as well as promoted high-quality design and soulful craftsmanship.
Among a series of artworks, the Design Atelier showcased a tactile material tableau themed JAPANDI, which is a fusion of Scandinavian and Japanese design-aesthetics, including customized patterns and textures adaptable to a wide variety of surfaces – ranging from silk to concrete. Inspired by Japanese origami folding techniques, the patterns are created by hand and produced digitally, to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.
Overwhelmed by the extremely positive response, Nanna Fog Lund would like to thank everyone – clients, visitors, colleagues, friends and family, who came by, and made the weekend outstanding.
Special thanks to curater Zenia Ekdal, to sake specialist Peter M. Fogh, and to all volunteers at the Seidokan Japan Center.
Looking very much forward to contributing to the successful festival next year!
